“Chercharn Studio” is a rental space for photo, video, film production, and event services. Its design embraces a modern Scandinavian style, with flexible
features that can adapt to the needs of its tenants. In Thai, “Cher” means “tree” and “Charn” means “courtyard,” together forming “courtyard surrounded by
trees”a name that beautifully aligns with the lush environment of the site. The land is rectangular, flat, and bordered by large, mature trees an uncommon
sight in the city.

The design takes inspiration from an existing element on the site: a majestic tree. The designers carefully located the tree to achieve the desired views and
crafted an experience that gradually reveals the landscape, like scenes unfolding in a movie.

From the reception area, the designer created a narrow, high view corridor framed by solid walls on each side, offering a glimpse of greenery at the end to
set a tranquil tone before leading into the next “scene.” Upon entering the main room, guests encounter a long, low perspective, a deliberate contrast to the
previous space. Just before venturing further, a full view of the primary tree appears through a large glass panel, providing a sense of openness and directing
attention to this focal point. Here, the space connects to an outdoor balcony, allowing visitors to step outside and experience the tree up close.

On the opposite side of the main room, the view from the second floor opens to the full width of the room, revealing only the sky a scene designed to
resemble a framed view of the sky, accentuating the space and shifting with time throughout the day.

Before reaching the kitchen, there is a transition point that subtly shifts the atmosphere. The architect introduced an open view, allowing guests to observe
the landscape from both front and back. The kitchen itself features an open plan design that flows into an outdoor seating area, ideal for outdoor activities.
Seating is placed close to nature, under the main tree, making it the most vibrant space in the project, where natural light and shadows dance across the
walls and through the trees.

Above this outdoor area is a bedroom, offering a higher and broader perspective of the main tree and the surrounding landscape. From this vantage point,
the view becomes even more captivating, enhancing the charm and allure of the environment.
