This exhibition booth is designed to showcase the story of wood in all its forms–from solid hardwood to engineered wood and SPC–while aligning with the core 
concept of ASA 2025, which reflects the passage of time: Past, Present, and Future.

The client’s vision emphasizes the continuity of a family business, where wood symbolizes an evolving journey passed down from father to child, constantly 
adapting and transforming to meet the lifestyle of each generation. The design takes the circle as its central motif, inspired by Steve Jobs’ idea of 
“connecting the dots,” representing the linkage of moments that form a narrative of growth and innovation for the brand. Surrounding this circle, the spatial 
experience is crafted using alternating mirrors and suspended SPC wood panels at varying heights. This creates dynamic volumes and an enclosed 
atmosphere, guiding visitors through different zones of the booth. The result is an interpretation of wood in a contemporary context—merging 
memory, modernity, and the forward-looking spirit of the future.

The Smartmatt exhibition booth at the Architect Fair 2022 (ASA) marked the event’s highly anticipated return after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19.
To celebrate this comeback, the project owner envisioned a booth that would create a warm, welcoming atmosphere and reestablish connections with 
customers.

The pandemic had accelerated the shift to remote work, driving demand for home makeovers. In response, the designers used the concept of a “Model” 
to symbolize the realization of homeowners’ dreams. The booth was conceived as a large house model, allowing visitors to step inside and experience their 
aspirations firsthand.

The booth’s base was raised in contour-like forms, visible from the main walkway. Each level was designed high enough to function as informal seating, 
decorated with beanbags and tree sculptures. To add playfulness, a slide was installed on one side for children to enjoy. The contour seating areas aligned with 
the ASA rest zone, which was integrated into the booth itself. This design not only expanded the usable space but also fostered a sense of openness, 
friendliness, and community, reinforcing the booth’s role as a gathering place for event attendees.

This project is an exhibition booth design for Vinyl Floor Tiles, showcased at the Architect Expo 2018. The client requested a unique, 
art-inspired display to appeal to the event’s design-focused audience. In response, the designers developed an innovative concept for 
presenting the products. The vinyl tiles were cut into a variety of triangular shapes, types, and sizes, then arranged to form pathways and 
elevated surfaces. Flat areas served as walkways, while the sloped sections allowed visitors to both view and feel the textures of the tiles.
Circulation followed a circular path with a single entrance and exit, guiding visitors beneath a partition into a black-box space where 
a video presentation was shown.

The ceiling and backdrop were made from stretched black canvas, enhancing the enclosed atmosphere. Semi-transparent white canvas 
formed the booth’s side walls, allowing interior light to shine through. Gaps at the base of the canvas offered glimpses into the booth, 
drawing attention from passersby and subtly showcasing the products within. At the entrance, a triangular gap was deliberately designed 
to highlight and frame the entry point, creating a distinctive and inviting gateway.

improvement. The booth design aimed to immediately capture attention and clearly communicate the product’s appeal to homeowners, with a strong
