“Sapaitai Restaurant” finds its home in Gaysorn Amarin, a shopping mall steeped in history, originally constructed in 1985.
Designed by the legendary architect Rangsan Torsuwan, the building elegantly combines Greek and Roman influences with expansive glass panels
—setting a benchmark in Thai architectural design of its time. In 2024, the structure underwent a thoughtful renovation to
embrace contemporary aesthetics while preserving its timeless heritage. At the heart of this restoration lies the philosophy of safeguarding
its legacy for future generations.

This ethos aligns seamlessly with the story of Sapaitai Restaurant, which treasures family recipes passed down through generations.
Rooted in the tin-mining era of Phang Nga Province, these culinary traditions have been modernized and reinterpreted, bringing the rich flavors
of the South to the heart of Bangkok. The interior design draws inspiration from this heritage, reflecting the “Nai Hua” family legacy,
which uniquely blends Chinese and Western cultural influences.

The design features a front beverage counter clad in metal panels with bolts and screws reminiscent of mining equipment,
while iron-framed lighting with incandescent bulbs evokes the atmosphere of the industrial era. Wooden wall and floor patterns,
along with furniture infused with Chinese aesthetics, bring warmth and cultural depth to the space.
The vibrant blue and red colors of the original logo symbolize the bold flavors of the cuisine. On the walls, an artistic depiction of
the “Ton Thepparo” tree—Phang Nga’s provincial tree—contrasts with an illustration of a charcoal kiln in the shape of Southern Thailand,
symbolizing pride in regional heritage.
