This house serves as both the designer's residence and office, and it all started with the design question, "What kind of house do I want?" from being a designer who must investigate the homeowner's needs, preferences, and habits in order to obtain design work that meets the customer's needs as much as possible.

I can find an answer to the question, and I like the simplicity with hidden details, unpretentiousness, and humility, until I discovered the Japanese philosophy of "Wabi sabi," which partially corresponds to the meaning we wanted to design this house with. I'm still looking for the meaning of "Wabi sabi" in interesting ways and perspectives. Whether it is to appreciate the beauty of nature as it is, to appreciate the beauty that has changed over time, to minimize the unnecessary to reveal something hidden, to use space that is not superfluous and to live simply, etc.

The front of the house is designed to recede into the land’s longest side to provide parking for employees and visitors. The floor was designed with gravel rather than concrete to reduce the hardness of the floor and make it look less like a parking lot. The parking line is divided by the tall trees in front of the house on the east side. The east wall is designed to be solid from the outside to provide privacy and prevent heat from entering the building. Sunlight shines on the walls every morning at sunrise, casting shadows and creating images of light and trees along the walls. Residents will admire and experience the light and shadow on the specially plastered, semi-handcrafted walls in that smoothness every morning. I think the dimension of shadows moving with the wind or with the time of day is beautiful.

There are office and parking lots on the ground floor. The house's center was designed as a tree court that opened to the sky. This is the main view from office, which can be seen as a large bonsai with an oblique line leading the eyes to the sky. Only during the midday hours will sunlight shine through the leaves and down to the gravel floor below. Another thing that I think is very beautiful and will only be able to experience during that time is this.

The natural wind direction is through the back of the house, which is designed as a wind tunnel from the back to the front. Residents will be able to feel the natural wind before entering the house, where most of the living space is air-conditioned. Because of the natural wind, the staircase was designed to be placed in the southwest. A fixed glass louver at the bottom of the stairs absorbs and disperses wind into the building.

The rooftop is intended to be a place to plant a garden that will be used in the house. Residents will have the opportunity to reconnect with nature, experience the soil, cultivate, and slow down. These are uncommon in city life. The other side of the rooftop is set up as an outdoor dining area, with the edge of the wall raised to obscure the view of the surrounding environment. The only thing visible was the surrounding sky, which changed colors depending on the time of day.

The interior of this house is designed to use the least amount of space possible. The area inside this house is approximately 350 square meters, with an office area of 110 square meters on the first floor, accommodating 10 employees, and a manager's room that can be converted into a meeting room for 6 people. The house on the second floor has a living-dining room, kitchen, and three bedrooms, with a total usable area of approximately 190 square meters. A 50-square-meter gym and prayer room are located on the third floor. There are 7 residents in the residential section.

Everything, whether it's a way of life that allows us to simplify our identities as designers or residents. The ability to sense and appreciate one's surroundings. Finding meaning in our lives or eliminating the unnecessary. These are helpful to me as I explore my mind.

This house is in the Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province. On approximately 2.5 rai of land, 30 meters of land width, nearby Mae Klong River which is the most important river in the existence of the Amphawa people. The back of the land has an entrance road, that is surrounded by neighboring coconut groves, appears to be quite shady and natural. Due to the relatively narrow width of the land and the view to the river is limited. Both of the neighbors' houses on the left and right are built close to the river. The designer picked a layout that leaves the space in front of the river as a green yard, enlarging the view inside the house to increase the distance between the owner's house and the river in order to minimize the uncomfortable feeling. The house's long side is oriented to allow views of the river and natural airflow from the south and north. The extraction side of the house has thick solid walls to reduce sun’s heat that enters the structure.

Historically, the river served as the principal route for transportation and commerce. It is still in use today, although its use has been limited in accordance with the times. The designer positioned the front of the residence faces the river, while the rear faces the road. The interior road is constructed as a curve from the entry road, gradually adjusting the eye view into the home and parking. Before entering the house, you can walk through “Long hallway” where the end of the eye focuses on the Mae Klong River. It is designed to function as a "wind tunnel," allowing wind to flow through from the north and south. This creates a pleasant atmosphere for using this space as an outdoor dining and relaxing area near the river. It is also placed parallel to the swimming pool and perpendicular to the Mae Klong River. The pool's far end is designed as an overflow edge. It appeared to be the river's surface flowing into the house's tree court. Water from the river seems to pour inside and connect to the interior space, giving origin to life, as the phrase goes "The Mae Klong River is the life of the Amphawa people”. There is a stairway in the tree court that provide access to the swimming pool from within the house, linking the view of the water surface with the river as though swimming into the Mae Klong River.

This residence has a useable area of approximately 1,000 square meters, consisting of a living and dining room designed as an open space on the 1st floor with the best widest view of the lawn and river. It is connected to the “Long hallway” and “Kitchen”, where the kitchen is placed as the heart of the house to link the dining area and also connect to long hallway and pool when there is outdoor socializing. At the waterfront, there is a mooring space, a gym and a guest room, separated from the main house in order to maintain privacy. The central section of the 2nd floor is designed as a family room for watching TV and relaxing before night. This room has a view of the tree in the center court, a skylight above, and a swimming pool, and it functions as the passageway to the master and children's bedrooms. From the master bedroom, there is a river view and a view to 1st floor living area, both of which are related. This house is designed to be modern, yet in a contemporary Thai style. Using a wide open glass to emphasize the visual sight. A long hallway with teak wood on both the floor and ceiling. Its column captures the early light's shadow as it reflects off the pool. The roof conceals ventilation beneath the eaves. All of these are intended to convey a sense of tropical architecture while focusing on the more modern and comfortable.

The owner of this house has a fondness of cars since he was young and has a passion for automobile careers. Until one day he opened his own garage and became a professional racing driver. Hereupon, he needed to build their own house and a garage in 420 sqm of land together but can be properly separated.

This building is designed to divide the usable area into 2 parts according to the requirement of the owner. On the wide side of the land is the garage to support the accessibility of the car, while the narrow side is a residential area. These two parts are designed to be clearly separated from each other. Cut apart by a solid wall which blocks sound and view. Furthermore, it also helps separating mass apart to increase ventilation and privacy of residential areas.

There is a small garden at the entrance of residential area that connects to the 1stfloor terrace. Living – dining room and kitchen are open plan which open view towards to the garden. On the 2nd floor, a hidden balcony that can see from the staircase hall is an area for more natural light and good ventilation to the bedrooms. The garage can accommodate 7 cars and has the owner office on the 1st floor to maintain the service. There is a side ladder connected to the spare parts storage area on the 2nd floor and a small elevator to transport.

Since the garage facing west, the designer presses the eaves lower to reduce sunlight in the afternoon and uses shutter door to filter light in the evening when the sun titled at a lower degree. Besides that, using a transparent heat protection roof at the garage to reduce heat entering the building and add the natural light into this area. The shape of the building and materials that designer chose to use such as concrete texture, black steel or exposed pipes are mostly match and reflect the owner’s identity.

This project started from the clients aim to build a ‘small house’ in an approximately 100 sqm. (10x10 meters) space to accommodate a complete and comfortable living space for two people. The client requested two parking spaces, shoes closet, living and dining room, pantry, Thai kitchen, laundry room, one bedroom, each closet for the couple, and a bathroom. The scheme aim to provide a space with thoughtful and efficient design.

From the brief, the architect allocated each function to takes up minimum space, while prioritizing the comfort for the user. Through planning, each area is positioned side by side with a central circulation space to maximize the use of space, spaces are divided into two types, private and semi-private.

To allow for natural ventilation the architect separated the mass of the building from each other to create a wind path through the building. The central space separating the two massing block is a wooden terrace courtyard with a tree and a view into the building, a space for relaxation. The building is covered with a simple gable roof and the terrace covering is provided by translucent skylight which brings natural light into the courtyard and interior space. The translucent skylight also enables use of the terrace area in the rainy season. 

The house is built on a large plot of land, surrounding by greenspace. Within the scheme areas surrounding the house is sprinkled with gray gravel, which requires low maintenance and prevents weeds from surfacing. By using gravel finish on the parking space creates a sense of continuity with the landscape and the house itself. From the parking space, users can move through the foyer with a small shoe room, before entering the house. The living room is an open space that can be used to relax, dine, prepare meals and brew coffee. This space opens out to the view courtyard, with an adjacent door near the pantry leading to the kitchen and laundry room. A sliding door between the living space and kitchen is utilized to block out any smell.

From the courtyard there is a door leading to the bedroom. The bedroom features a raised platform to serve as a futon bed, to make the room look as clear as possible without any objects blocking the eyes. From the bed, trees are always visible. The bedroom is also designed as a circulation space to the closet and the closet connected to the bathroom. The male closet is designed with two entrances, one from the bedroom and the other one from the terrace for the guests to enter the bathroom. To maintain a privacy, when guests enter the bathroom the sliding door will automatically close off access to the bedroom. The bathroom is designed with a large window in upper region to provide views out to the trees while maintaining privacy and obstructs the eyes from the outside.

When family members grow, the surroundings changes afterwards. As well as members of this house, they decided to demolish 2 out of 3 old houses and built a new bigger house instead. The original 1-storey house was replaced by a new 3-storey house with 790 square meters of usable area, designed to accommodate approximately 12 people with various ages on a land size of 100 square wah.

With limitation space, the building is designed to fit the land area and the internal space must be designed both of horizontally and vertically circulation to save space as possible to support function for all family members. The main circulation was placed in the middle of the building to distribute access to various areas as efficiently as possible. 1st Floor car park area designed for 6 cars. There were maid’s room and laundry room at the back of the house. Right wing of the house is living and dining room with opening windows for wind blows from the south toward north and to be able to take the garden view. 
On the second floor there was a common room with high ceiling, where anyone can lounge and having family party. This second privacy living room was designed to access to 4 bedrooms. The Third floor is the top floor, there were 2 master bedrooms on the left and right wing. There were also small bedroom and Buddha room in the middle of this floor that can be connected to living room on the second floor.

This place represents the beginning of a partner’s dream who want to live a simple life, escape from the monotony of the city. Aiming to live their life by their own produce food, manage waste, live slowly, life sufficiently, easy and comfortable without following the trend of capitalism. Creating simple daily happiness in life by surrounding contexts.

This house is tiny. The total construction area is only 100 sq. m. which is designed to be a living room, pantry, bathroom and external storage on the ground floor. Living room was designed as a glass door to open view to farm. The mezzanine was designed as a bedroom which opens view to the double volume space connected to the living room at the ground floor. The bedroom has a long narrow window, placed across the north-south wind direction. This narrow window is made to create privacy but still able to receive a natural wind. The spaces in this house was designed to be the smallest size only the right things can fit into.

Layout, House is placed on the island platform in the middle of fish pond. When water filled the pond during rainy season, the house looks like it’s floating on the water surrounded by vegetable and fruit plots. House owner has supervised construction work and built this house, grow vegetable and fruits, raise fish, manage waste systems, they did all of these things by themselves. They gradually built this place with appreciation in the value of natural on earth. They can absorb and stay warmly in what they called “A place of happiness dream”

Located at Watcharapol Soi 3, Chonchop Thantawat Village.
The client has been living in this village with parents since he was young. When the family extentes, he want to build new house on a new land.

This house was larger than before for accommodating and supporting new family members. The Layout of the building has been designed following the wind’s direction. As in front of the land is heading south, and the natural wind of Thailand is mostly come from the south. Designer therefore placed the longitudinal building to block the wind’s direction and placed the building close to back side of the land. Intentionally left wide green area in front of building to open the view and be a part of outdoor activities.

The wide green area was connected to the swimming pool, poolside terrace and outdoor activity area. All areas were prepared for children, grandchildren, grandparents or friends to do activities together.

The first floor of the house consisted of living room, dining room and pantry for preparing food which connected to the poolside terrace for supporting outdoor activities. There were home theater room and one bedroom on the first floor for guest. It could be a bedroom for client’s parents in the future. The second floor, there were two large master bedrooms for client and his parents and also one medium bedroom in the middle of the house for his sister. At middle of the building, there was an open space connecting areas from second floor corridor to the fist to bring in fresh air for good ventilation. All areas of this house could take advantage of natural winds.

The project started from the idea that the owner is looking for more living space in the future and existing home with parent may not able to answer. After he is looking back through time,
the old house that the owner growth up and belong to his parent is not yet sold, locate in the same village, and surrounding with good neighbor. That is where the project begins. The old house is one and half duplex with the mixed between wood and concrete, facing down south and having good air circulation throughout the entire house. He decided to fresh start the project by removes the existing house and start his passion from the ground up. The first request he brief to the architecture is best possible air circulation, and the second request is he love to see 45 degrees rooftop because the design speak out the harmony between modern and Thai design in his view.

After providing both concepts the architect tone down the rooftop design by split the house into 2 modules in order to create a better mass of 45 degrees rooftop. The rooftop of the left module reflects modern design with flat rooftop, and the right module covers with 45 degrees rooftop design. The idea helps overall design of the house and reflect stacking of mass and better shape of the house.

View is another matter of the design. Location of the house is surrounding with 30 years old houses, and not many angles for good views. The architect solved this matter by creates small open spaces in a few zones inside the house in order to bring the light in from the top. This would bring shed of the sun during the day and privacy over the night. Another highlight area of the home is living and dining room which is the largest space of the house with the maximum possible view surrounding with outdoor garden and garage. One of the owner passions is to collect vintage cars and he would please to look at the cars from the living room. Thus, the architect created vintage car view from the living area for him for his personal enjoyment. That is the begin story and concept to bring this compact house to home.

This house is located at Chuan Chuen Park Ville Village, Kanchanaphisek Road. The landused to be an old house of the owner who had lived with their parents until they grown up. The owner decided to demolish all the old house and build their new one to support the family in the future. The main requirement of owner was they want a small house. Each room is designed to be compact area. The void or windows around the house were not much because they do not want external heat entering the house. Still feeling high privacy but good ventilation as well. The house is designed to divide the area into 2 parts. Part 1 is the residence of the owner, consisting of living room, dining room, pantry and Thai kitchen on the 1st floor. Master bedroom, kid bedroom, working room and music room on the 2nd floor. Part 2 is prepared for parents or guests who visited. This part is separated from a house and can be connected by common area.

According to the requirement that the owner wants to cut off the external context. Designer therefore created an enclosed space and view inside by putting tree and pond, open top roof space, allow rain and air to flow through this enclosed area to create a natural atmosphere in middle of the house. Creating circulation inside the house to be able to see “Natural court” from every room The area outdoor has a terrace for family relaxing activities. This area can be connected living room and kid room. There is floating steel staircase that can walk up to connect to the garden and balcony above. 2nd floor garden and deck designed with emphasis on privacy, designed to be a high wall enclosed space cut off with external environment, leave only the tree, the seats and the sky. This area is prepared beside the Master bedroom for living at night, watching the stars and resting the eyes from fatigue.

The Khaoyai House is located at Pak Chong district, Nakhon Ratchasima province. Mr. Somsak Kaweesorasak - owner aims to build this house as a holiday house and a place for long stay after retirement.

The location of this project is surrounded by mountains. Architect focuses on function planning for the best view. The Khaoyai House has two-stories with full function on the 1st floor living room, dining room, pantry, outdoor kitchen for party and guest room. the 2nd floor : Master bedroom , Daughter bedroom and Family room. At first phase, the homeowner may not live on regular basis. Architect choose materials that are easy for maintenance, such as, Pattern expose concrete wall on first floor and Pattern brick wall on second floor. Architect creates open space at the back of house for activity area. There are swimming pool and large terrace in order to connect the owner’s space and guest area. Mountain scenic view can be seen behind the house closely. This green area is also created good ventilation through the house.

At Front elevation, Architect creates large terrace area connected to the family room on the 2nd floor, which is shelled by glass windows and can sense the mountain view in front of the house. Spiral staircase connected the 2nd floor and ground floor activity area together. The alignment of the house is 20 degrees compare with road baseline for merging the best mountain view together.

The owner of this house has a fondness of cars since he was young and has a passion for automobile careers. Until one day he opened his own garage and became a professional racing driver. Hereupon, he needed to build their own house and a garage in 420 sqm of land together but can be properly separated.

This building is designed to divide the usable area into 2 parts according to the requirement of the owner. On the wide side of the land is the garage to support the accessibility of the car, while the narrow side is a residential area. These two parts are designed to be clearly separated from each other. Cut apart by a solid wall which blocks sound and view. Furthermore, it also helps separating mass apart to increase ventilation and privacy of residential areas.

There is a small garden at the entrance of residential area that connects to the 1stfloor terrace. Living – dining room and kitchen are open plan which open view towards to the garden. On the 2nd floor, a hidden balcony that can see from the staircase hall is an area for more natural light and good ventilation to the bedrooms. The garage can accommodate 7 cars and has the owner office on the 1st floor to maintain the service. There is a side ladder connected to the spare parts storage area on the 2nd floor and a small elevator to transport.

Since the garage facing west, the designer presses the eaves lower to reduce sunlight in the afternoon and uses shutter door to filter light in the evening when the sun titled at a lower degree. Besides that, using a transparent heat protection roof at the garage to reduce heat entering the building and add the natural light into this area. The shape of the building and materials that designer chose to use such as concrete texture, black steel or exposed pipes are mostly match and reflect the owner’s identity.

This project started from the clients aim to build a ‘small house’ in an approximately 100 sqm. (10x10 meters) space to accommodate a complete and comfortable living space for two people. The client requested two parking spaces, shoes closet, living and dining room, pantry, Thai kitchen, laundry room, one bedroom, each closet for the couple, and a bathroom. The scheme aim to provide a space with thoughtful and efficient design.

From the brief, the architect allocated each function to takes up minimum space, while prioritizing the comfort for the user. Through planning, each area is positioned side by side with a central circulation space to maximize the use of space, spaces are divided into two types, private and semi-private.

To allow for natural ventilation the architect separated the mass of the building from each other to create a wind path through the building. The central space separating the two massing block is a wooden terrace courtyard with a tree and a view into the building, a space for relaxation. The building is covered with a simple gable roof and the terrace covering is provided by translucent skylight which brings natural light into the courtyard and interior space. The translucent skylight also enables use of the terrace area in the rainy season. 

The house is built on a large plot of land, surrounding by greenspace. Within the scheme areas surrounding the house is sprinkled with gray gravel, which requires low maintenance and prevents weeds from surfacing. By using gravel finish on the parking space creates a sense of continuity with the landscape and the house itself. From the parking space, users can move through the foyer with a small shoe room, before entering the house. The living room is an open space that can be used to relax, dine, prepare meals and brew coffee. This space opens out to the view courtyard, with an adjacent door near the pantry leading to the kitchen and laundry room. A sliding door between the living space and kitchen is utilized to block out any smell.

From the courtyard there is a door leading to the bedroom. The bedroom features a raised platform to serve as a futon bed, to make the room look as clear as possible without any objects blocking the eyes. From the bed, trees are always visible. The bedroom is also designed as a circulation space to the closet and the closet connected to the bathroom. The male closet is designed with two entrances, one from the bedroom and the other one from the terrace for the guests to enter the bathroom. To maintain a privacy, when guests enter the bathroom the sliding door will automatically close off access to the bedroom. The bathroom is designed with a large window in upper region to provide views out to the trees while maintaining privacy and obstructs the eyes from the outside.

When family members grow, the surroundings changes afterwards. As well as members of this house, they decided to demolish 2 out of 3 old houses and built a new bigger house instead. The original 1-storey house was replaced by a new 3-storey house with 790 square meters of usable area, designed to accommodate approximately 12 people with various ages on a land size of 100 square wah.

With limitation space, the building is designed to fit the land area and the internal space must be designed both of horizontally and vertically circulation to save space as possible to support function for all family members. The main circulation was placed in the middle of the building to distribute access to various areas as efficiently as possible. 1st Floor car park area designed for 6 cars. There were maid’s room and laundry room at the back of the house. Right wing of the house is living and dining room with opening windows for wind blows from the south toward north and to be able to take the garden view. 
On the second floor there was a common room with high ceiling, where anyone can lounge and having family party. This second privacy living room was designed to access to 4 bedrooms. The Third floor is the top floor, there were 2 master bedrooms on the left and right wing. There were also small bedroom and Buddha room in the middle of this floor that can be connected to living room on the second floor.

This place represents the beginning of a partner’s dream who want to live a simple life, escape from the monotony of the city. Aiming to live their life by their own produce food, manage waste, live slowly, life sufficiently, easy and comfortable without following the trend of capitalism. Creating simple daily happiness in life by surrounding contexts.

This house is tiny. The total construction area is only 100 sq. m. which is designed to be a living room, pantry, bathroom and external storage on the ground floor. Living room was designed as a glass door to open view to farm. The mezzanine was designed as a bedroom which opens view to the double volume space connected to the living room at the ground floor. The bedroom has a long narrow window, placed across the north-south wind direction. This narrow window is made to create privacy but still able to receive a natural wind. The spaces in this house was designed to be the smallest size only the right things can fit into.

Layout, House is placed on the island platform in the middle of fish pond. When water filled the pond during rainy season, the house looks like it’s floating on the water surrounded by vegetable and fruit plots. House owner has supervised construction work and built this house, grow vegetable and fruits, raise fish, manage waste systems, they did all of these things by themselves. They gradually built this place with appreciation in the value of natural on earth. They can absorb and stay warmly in what they called “A place of happiness dream”

Located at Watcharapol Soi 3, Chonchop Thantawat Village.
The client has been living in this village with parents since he was young. When the family extentes, he want to build new house on a new land.

This house was larger than before for accommodating and supporting new family members. The Layout of the building has been designed following the wind’s direction. As in front of the land is heading south, and the natural wind of Thailand is mostly come from the south. Designer therefore placed the longitudinal building to block the wind’s direction and placed the building close to back side of the land. Intentionally left wide green area in front of building to open the view and be a part of outdoor activities.

The wide green area was connected to the swimming pool, poolside terrace and outdoor activity area. All areas were prepared for children, grandchildren, grandparents or friends to do activities together.

The first floor of the house consisted of living room, dining room and pantry for preparing food which connected to the poolside terrace for supporting outdoor activities. There were home theater room and one bedroom on the first floor for guest. It could be a bedroom for client’s parents in the future. The second floor, there were two large master bedrooms for client and his parents and also one medium bedroom in the middle of the house for his sister. At middle of the building, there was an open space connecting areas from second floor corridor to the fist to bring in fresh air for good ventilation. All areas of this house could take advantage of natural winds.

The project started from the idea that the owner is looking for more living space in the future and existing home with parent may not able to answer. After he is looking back through time,
the old house that the owner growth up and belong to his parent is not yet sold, locate in the same village, and surrounding with good neighbor. That is where the project begins. The old house is one and half duplex with the mixed between wood and concrete, facing down south and having good air circulation throughout the entire house. He decided to fresh start the project by removes the existing house and start his passion from the ground up. The first request he brief to the architecture is best possible air circulation, and the second request is he love to see 45 degrees rooftop because the design speak out the harmony between modern and Thai design in his view.

After providing both concepts the architect tone down the rooftop design by split the house into 2 modules in order to create a better mass of 45 degrees rooftop. The rooftop of the left module reflects modern design with flat rooftop, and the right module covers with 45 degrees rooftop design. The idea helps overall design of the house and reflect stacking of mass and better shape of the house.

View is another matter of the design. Location of the house is surrounding with 30 years old houses, and not many angles for good views. The architect solved this matter by creates small open spaces in a few zones inside the house in order to bring the light in from the top. This would bring shed of the sun during the day and privacy over the night. Another highlight area of the home is living and dining room which is the largest space of the house with the maximum possible view surrounding with outdoor garden and garage. One of the owner passions is to collect vintage cars and he would please to look at the cars from the living room. Thus, the architect created vintage car view from the living area for him for his personal enjoyment. That is the begin story and concept to bring this compact house to home.

This house is located at Chuan Chuen Park Ville Village, Kanchanaphisek Road. The landused to be an old house of the owner who had lived with their parents until they grown up. The owner decided to demolish all the old house and build their new one to support the family in the future. The main requirement of owner was they want a small house. Each room is designed to be compact area. The void or windows around the house were not much because they do not want external heat entering the house. Still feeling high privacy but good ventilation as well. The house is designed to divide the area into 2 parts. Part 1 is the residence of the owner, consisting of living room, dining room, pantry and Thai kitchen on the 1st floor. Master bedroom, kid bedroom, working room and music room on the 2nd floor. Part 2 is prepared for parents or guests who visited. This part is separated from a house and can be connected by common area.

According to the requirement that the owner wants to cut off the external context. Designer therefore created an enclosed space and view inside by putting tree and pond, open top roof space, allow rain and air to flow through this enclosed area to create a natural atmosphere in middle of the house. Creating circulation inside the house to be able to see “Natural court” from every room The area outdoor has a terrace for family relaxing activities. This area can be connected living room and kid room. There is floating steel staircase that can walk up to connect to the garden and balcony above. 2nd floor garden and deck designed with emphasis on privacy, designed to be a high wall enclosed space cut off with external environment, leave only the tree, the seats and the sky. This area is prepared beside the Master bedroom for living at night, watching the stars and resting the eyes from fatigue.

The Khaoyai House is located at Pak Chong district, Nakhon Ratchasima province. Mr. Somsak Kaweesorasak - owner aims to build this house as a holiday house and a place for long stay after retirement.

The location of this project is surrounded by mountains. Architect focuses on function planning for the best view. The Khaoyai House has two-stories with full function on the 1st floor living room, dining room, pantry, outdoor kitchen for party and guest room. the 2nd floor : Master bedroom , Daughter bedroom and Family room. At first phase, the homeowner may not live on regular basis. Architect choose materials that are easy for maintenance, such as, Pattern expose concrete wall on first floor and Pattern brick wall on second floor. Architect creates open space at the back of house for activity area. There are swimming pool and large terrace in order to connect the owner’s space and guest area. Mountain scenic view can be seen behind the house closely. This green area is also created good ventilation through the house.

At Front elevation, Architect creates large terrace area connected to the family room on the 2nd floor, which is shelled by glass windows and can sense the mountain view in front of the house. Spiral staircase connected the 2nd floor and ground floor activity area together. The alignment of the house is 20 degrees compare with road baseline for merging the best mountain view together.

This house serves as both the designer's residence and office, and it all started with the design question, "What kind of house do I want?" from being a designer who must investigate the homeowner's needs, preferences, and habits in order to obtain design work that meets the customer's needs as much as possible.

I can find an answer to the question, and I like the simplicity with hidden details, unpretentiousness, and humility, until I discovered the Japanese philosophy of "Wabi sabi," which partially corresponds to the meaning we wanted to design this house with. I'm still looking for the meaning of "Wabi sabi" in interesting ways and perspectives. Whether it is to appreciate the beauty of nature as it is, to appreciate the beauty that has changed over time, to minimize the unnecessary to reveal something hidden, to use space that is not superfluous and to live simply, etc.

The front of the house is designed to recede into the land’s longest side to provide parking for employees and visitors. The floor was designed with gravel rather than concrete to reduce the hardness of the floor and make it look less like a parking lot. The parking line is divided by the tall trees in front of the house on the east side. The east wall is designed to be solid from the outside to provide privacy and prevent heat from entering the building. Sunlight shines on the walls every morning at sunrise, casting shadows and creating images of light and trees along the walls. Residents will admire and experience the light and shadow on the specially plastered, semi-handcrafted walls in that smoothness every morning. I think the dimension of shadows moving with the wind or with the time of day is beautiful.

There are office and parking lots on the ground floor. The house's center was designed as a tree court that opened to the sky. This is the main view from office, which can be seen as a large bonsai with an oblique line leading the eyes to the sky. Only during the midday hours will sunlight shine through the leaves and down to the gravel floor below. Another thing that I think is very beautiful and will only be able to experience during that time is this.

The natural wind direction is through the back of the house, which is designed as a wind tunnel from the back to the front. Residents will be able to feel the natural wind before entering the house, where most of the living space is air-conditioned. Because of the natural wind, the staircase was designed to be placed in the southwest. A fixed glass louver at the bottom of the stairs absorbs and disperses wind into the building.

The rooftop is intended to be a place to plant a garden that will be used in the house. Residents will have the opportunity to reconnect with nature, experience the soil, cultivate, and slow down. These are uncommon in city life. The other side of the rooftop is set up as an outdoor dining area, with the edge of the wall raised to obscure the view of the surrounding environment. The only thing visible was the surrounding sky, which changed colors depending on the time of day.

The interior of this house is designed to use the least amount of space possible. The area inside this house is approximately 350 square meters, with an office area of 110 square meters on the first floor, accommodating 10 employees, and a manager's room that can be converted into a meeting room for 6 people. The house on the second floor has a living-dining room, kitchen, and three bedrooms, with a total usable area of approximately 190 square meters. A 50-square-meter gym and prayer room are located on the third floor. There are 7 residents in the residential section.

Everything, whether it's a way of life that allows us to simplify our identities as designers or residents. The ability to sense and appreciate one's surroundings. Finding meaning in our lives or eliminating the unnecessary. These are helpful to me as I explore my mind.

This house is in the Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province. On approximately 2.5 rai of land, 30 meters of land width, nearby Mae Klong River which is the most important river in the existence of the Amphawa people. The back of the land has an entrance road, that is surrounded by neighboring coconut groves, appears to be quite shady and natural. Due to the relatively narrow width of the land and the view to the river is limited. Both of the neighbors' houses on the left and right are built close to the river. The designer picked a layout that leaves the space in front of the river as a green yard, enlarging the view inside the house to increase the distance between the owner's house and the river in order to minimize the uncomfortable feeling. The house's long side is oriented to allow views of the river and natural airflow from the south and north. The extraction side of the house has thick solid walls to reduce sun’s heat that enters the structure.

Historically, the river served as the principal route for transportation and commerce. It is still in use today, although its use has been limited in accordance with the times. The designer positioned the front of the residence faces the river, while the rear faces the road. The interior road is constructed as a curve from the entry road, gradually adjusting the eye view into the home and parking. Before entering the house, you can walk through “Long hallway” where the end of the eye focuses on the Mae Klong River. It is designed to function as a "wind tunnel," allowing wind to flow through from the north and south. This creates a pleasant atmosphere for using this space as an outdoor dining and relaxing area near the river. It is also placed parallel to the swimming pool and perpendicular to the Mae Klong River. The pool's far end is designed as an overflow edge. It appeared to be the river's surface flowing into the house's tree court. Water from the river seems to pour inside and connect to the interior space, giving origin to life, as the phrase goes "The Mae Klong River is the life of the Amphawa people”. There is a stairway in the tree court that provide access to the swimming pool from within the house, linking the view of the water surface with the river as though swimming into the Mae Klong River.

This residence has a useable area of approximately 1,000 square meters, consisting of a living and dining room designed as an open space on the 1st floor with the best widest view of the lawn and river. It is connected to the “Long hallway” and “Kitchen”, where the kitchen is placed as the heart of the house to link the dining area and also connect to long hallway and pool when there is outdoor socializing. At the waterfront, there is a mooring space, a gym and a guest room, separated from the main house in order to maintain privacy. The central section of the 2nd floor is designed as a family room for watching TV and relaxing before night. This room has a view of the tree in the center court, a skylight above, and a swimming pool, and it functions as the passageway to the master and children's bedrooms. From the master bedroom, there is a river view and a view to 1st floor living area, both of which are related. This house is designed to be modern, yet in a contemporary Thai style. Using a wide open glass to emphasize the visual sight. A long hallway with teak wood on both the floor and ceiling. Its column captures the early light's shadow as it reflects off the pool. The roof conceals ventilation beneath the eaves. All of these are intended to convey a sense of tropical architecture while focusing on the more modern and comfortable.

This house is tiny. The total construction area is only 100 sq. m. which is designed to be a living room, pantry, bathroom and external storage on the ground floor. Living room was designed as a glass door to open view to farm. The mezzanine was designed as a bedroom which opens view to the double volume space connected to the living room at the ground floor. The bedroom has a long narrow window, placed across the north-south wind direction. This narrow window is made to create privacy but still able to receive a natural wind. The spaces in this house was designed to be the smallest size only the right things can fit into.

Layout, House is placed on the island platform in the middle of fish pond. When water filled the pond during rainy season, the house looks like it’s floating on the water surrounded by vegetable and fruit plots. House owner has supervised construction work and built this house, grow vegetable and fruits, raise fish, manage waste systems, they did all of these things by themselves. They gradually built this place with appreciation in the value of natural on earth. They can absorb and stay warmly in what they called “A place of happiness dream”

Located at Watcharapol Soi 3, Chonchop Thantawat Village.
The client has been living in this village with parents since he was young. When the family extentes, he want to build new house on a new land.

This house was larger than before for accommodating and supporting new family members. The Layout of the building has been designed following the wind’s direction. As in front of the land is heading south, and the natural wind of Thailand is mostly come from the south. Designer therefore placed the longitudinal building to block the wind’s direction and placed the building close to back side of the land. Intentionally left wide green area in front of building to open the view and be a part of outdoor activities.

The wide green area was connected to the swimming pool, poolside terrace and outdoor activity area. All areas were prepared for children, grandchildren, grandparents or friends to do activities together.

The first floor of the house consisted of living room, dining room and pantry for preparing food which connected to the poolside terrace for supporting outdoor activities. There were home theater room and one bedroom on the first floor for guest. It could be a bedroom for client’s parents in the future. The second floor, there were two large master bedrooms for client and his parents and also one medium bedroom in the middle of the house for his sister. At middle of the building, there was an open space connecting areas from second floor corridor to the fist to bring in fresh air for good ventilation. All areas of this house could take advantage of natural winds.

The project started from the idea that the owner is looking for more living space in the future and existing home with parent may not able to answer. After he is looking back through time,
the old house that the owner growth up and belong to his parent is not yet sold, locate in the same village, and surrounding with good neighbor. That is where the project begins. The old house is one and half duplex with the mixed between wood and concrete, facing down south and having good air circulation throughout the entire house. He decided to fresh start the project by removes the existing house and start his passion from the ground up. The first request he brief to the architecture is best possible air circulation, and the second request is he love to see 45 degrees rooftop because the design speak out the harmony between modern and Thai design in his view.

After providing both concepts the architect tone down the rooftop design by split the house into 2 modules in order to create a better mass of 45 degrees rooftop. The rooftop of the left module reflects modern design with flat rooftop, and the right module covers with 45 degrees rooftop design. The idea helps overall design of the house and reflect stacking of mass and better shape of the house.

View is another matter of the design. Location of the house is surrounding with 30 years old houses, and not many angles for good views. The architect solved this matter by creates small open spaces in a few zones inside the house in order to bring the light in from the top. This would bring shed of the sun during the day and privacy over the night. Another highlight area of the home is living and dining room which is the largest space of the house with the maximum possible view surrounding with outdoor garden and garage. One of the owner passions is to collect vintage cars and he would please to look at the cars from the living room. Thus, the architect created vintage car view from the living area for him for his personal enjoyment. That is the begin story and concept to bring this compact house to home.

This house is located at Chuan Chuen Park Ville Village, Kanchanaphisek Road. The landused to be an old house of the owner who had lived with their parents until they grown up. The owner decided to demolish all the old house and build their new one to support the family in the future. The main requirement of owner was they want a small house. Each room is designed to be compact area. The void or windows around the house were not much because they do not want external heat entering the house. Still feeling high privacy but good ventilation as well. The house is designed to divide the area into 2 parts. Part 1 is the residence of the owner, consisting of living room, dining room, pantry and Thai kitchen on the 1st floor. Master bedroom, kid bedroom, working room and music room on the 2nd floor. Part 2 is prepared for parents or guests who visited. This part is separated from a house and can be connected by common area.

According to the requirement that the owner wants to cut off the external context. Designer therefore created an enclosed space and view inside by putting tree and pond, open top roof space, allow rain and air to flow through this enclosed area to create a natural atmosphere in middle of the house. Creating circulation inside the house to be able to see “Natural court” from every room The area outdoor has a terrace for family relaxing activities. This area can be connected living room and kid room. There is floating steel staircase that can walk up to connect to the garden and balcony above. 2nd floor garden and deck designed with emphasis on privacy, designed to be a high wall enclosed space cut off with external environment, leave only the tree, the seats and the sky. This area is prepared beside the Master bedroom for living at night, watching the stars and resting the eyes from fatigue.

The Khaoyai House is located at Pak Chong district, Nakhon Ratchasima province. Mr. Somsak Kaweesorasak - owner aims to build this house as a holiday house and a place for long stay after retirement.

The location of this project is surrounded by mountains. Architect focuses on function planning for the best view. The Khaoyai House has two-stories with full function on the 1st floor living room, dining room, pantry, outdoor kitchen for party and guest room. the 2nd floor : Master bedroom , Daughter bedroom and Family room. At first phase, the homeowner may not live on regular basis. Architect choose materials that are easy for maintenance, such as, Pattern expose concrete wall on first floor and Pattern brick wall on second floor. Architect creates open space at the back of house for activity area. There are swimming pool and large terrace in order to connect the owner’s space and guest area. Mountain scenic view can be seen behind the house closely. This green area is also created good ventilation through the house.

At Front elevation, Architect creates large terrace area connected to the family room on the 2nd floor, which is shelled by glass windows and can sense the mountain view in front of the house. Spiral staircase connected the 2nd floor and ground floor activity area together. The alignment of the house is 20 degrees compare with road baseline for merging the best mountain view together.
